Home watch is a regular, scheduled visual check of your property while you're away, confirming everything looks the way it should, documenting conditions with photos, and flagging anything that may need attention. Property management typically involves managing tenants, rent, and leases. We don't do the latter; 1Point is focused entirely on watching and reporting on vacant or seasonally occupied homes.

No. We are not licensed home inspectors, and a home watch visit is not a substitute for one. Our visits are visual, walk-through observations, not a diagnostic or code-compliance inspection. If we notice something that needs a closer look, we'll always recommend you bring in a licensed professional. You can learn more about 1Point versus client responsibility in our Client Disclaimer.

If we notice damage or a problem during a visit, we document it right away with photos and reach out to you as soon as possible with our observations. For small, simple things, like tapping down a loose deck nail or swapping an air filter, we're happy to handle those on the spot. For anything beyond that scope, or anything that calls for a licensed contractor, we don't perform repairs ourselves. Example of these are HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs.
