Terms and Conditions

1Point Property Services

Effective: September 1, 2026

By accessing or using this website or engaging the services of 1Point Property Services (“1Point,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. What We Offer

1Point provides home watch, concierge, and storm preparation services for residential properties. We are not a licensed home inspector, contractor, security company, house-sitting service, or rental/property management agency, and nothing we do should be mistaken for those services. A home watch visit is a general, visual walk-through of your property's condition; it is not a technical or professional inspection, and it is not a replacement for one performed by a licensed inspector, engineer, or tradesperson.

Exact service details, visit frequency, and pricing are worked out individually with each client based on what their property needs.

2. The Limits of a Home Watch Visit

A home watch visit is a snapshot of a single point in time. Things can change in the hours or days between visits, and we have no way to catch or prevent an issue that develops when we're not physically on site.

As part of a scheduled visit, we may perform basic, non-invasive checks of certain systems and fixtures — for example, flushing toilets and running faucets, operating appliances briefly to confirm they respond, checking for visible leaks, replacing air filters, noting interior temperature and humidity, confirming the security system is armed, and looking for early signs of pests, rodents, or moisture. We report our observations to you, with photos, after each visit.

If, in the course of these checks, we identify a minor concern within the scope described above, we may, at our sole discretion, take reasonable, limited action to help prevent further damage; comparable to what an attentive homeowner might do for their own property; such as tightening a fixture, mopping up minor moisture, or similar simple measures. Any such action is undertaken solely to reduce the risk of additional harm to the property, is not performed to the standard of a licensed contractor, tradesperson, or vendor, and does not constitute a repair, remediation, inspection, or diagnosis by a licensed professional. We do not perform structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other licensed-trade work, and we do not perform mold, pest, or environmental testing. Nothing we observe, report, or do during a visit guarantees that every defect, hazard, or change in condition will be identified, or that further damage will be prevented, and our efforts in this regard do not replace the evaluation of a licensed inspector, contractor, or tradesperson.

Where our Storm Ready service is involved, understand that it covers preparation and post-storm observation only; it does not protect your home from storm damage or guarantee any particular outcome.

3. Things We're Not Responsible For

We do our work carefully and professionally, but we can't take responsibility for damage or loss caused by weather, water intrusion, fire, equipment or system failure, pests, mold, theft, vandalism, or the actions of other people; regardless of when that damage happened relative to one of our visits.

4. What We Ask of You as a Client

●      Keep your own homeowner's insurance current, including coverage appropriate for a home that sits vacant for periods of time

●      Give us accurate entry instructions, alarm codes, and a heads-up about any known issues or hazards before we start service

●      Read through the reports we send after each visit, and follow up with a licensed professional if something we flag may need a closer look

5. Recommending Vendors & Contractors

From time to time, we may recommend an outside contractor or vendor we know or have worked with. That recommendation is offered as a courtesy only; we do not coordinate, schedule, oversee, or manage any work performed by that contractor or vendor, and we are not a party to any agreement you enter into with them. Any decision to hire a recommended contractor or vendor, and any arrangement, payment, or work that follows, is strictly between you and that outside party. We don't vouch for, guarantee, or take responsibility for the quality, timeliness, cost, or outcome of their work.

6. Liability

To whatever extent the law allows, 1Point is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages connected to our services or your use of our website. Nothing in these terms is meant to limit liability in ways that state law doesn't permit.

7. Rescheduling & Cancellations

Need to cancel or move a visit? Just give us at least 24 hours' notice and there's no charge. Cancellations inside that 24-hour window, or missed appointments, may come with a cancellation fee. Once a visit has been completed, it isn't refundable. On our end, if severe weather or unsafe conditions force us to reschedule, we'll get you back on the calendar at no extra cost, or issue a refund if rescheduling isn't realistic.

8. Staying in Touch

When you share your contact details with us, through our website or otherwise, you're agreeing to hear from us by phone, email, or text about scheduling, service updates, and general questions.

9. About This Website

Our website is meant to give you general information about who we are and what we offer. We do our best to keep it current and correct, but we can't promise it's always complete or error-free.

You may come across links to outside websites here and there. Once you leave our site, we have no control over, and no responsibility for, what you find there.

10. Ownership of Our Content

The words, logos, and design you see on our website and in our materials belong to 1Point Property Services. Please don't reuse or republish them without asking us first.

11. Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time as our business grows or changes. Whenever that happens, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by North Carolina law.

13. Use of Artificial Intelligence

We may use artificial intelligence tools and software in our operations — for example, to help respond to inquiries, schedule visits, generate reports, or otherwise work more efficiently so we can serve our clients faster and more consistently. These tools support our team's work; they do not replace the judgment of a licensed professional, and any observations or recommendations you receive from us remain subject to the scope and limitations described elsewhere in these Terms & Conditions.
